OEI 2021 Recap: Service in the Middle of a Pandemic

Everyone has been gravely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and was forced to make adjustments– from our healthcare workers, the education system, manufacturing and logistics services, everyone.

And up until today, we are recovering from the effects of the pandemic on the different aspects of our lives.

Like everyone else, our business had to deal with the various health and travel restrictions, alongside the stricter safety measures set by the government. This meant that our staff had to face difficulties in coming and going to the office, navigating through the shift to an online work setup, traveling to and operating onsite, all while dealing with the effects of the pandemic in their personal lives.

The Turnaround: Serving in the Middle of a Pandemic

As a system integrator and specialty contractor that provides products and services critical to the operations of our clients, when the restrictions eased, we rushed back to service to support our customers.

Supplying Heavy and Critical Equipment across Borders

Right after the lockdown eased, we delivered two AuCom Medium Voltage Softstarters to one of our clients in the cement industry.

Medium Voltage Softstarters help in reducing the stresses encountered during motor starting. They help reduce the starting current, maximizing the starting torque, leading to a smooth start sequence of the motors.

Even in the middle of the pandemic, delivering this major equipment was essential in helping our client to move forward in setting up their equipment for their project.

Ready to Serve during Critical Situations

Apart from still being able to deliver major heavy equipment in the middle of the lockdown, we were also able to uphold our customer service, especially in critical situations.

In 2020, we were able to assist a client in the Pharmaceuticals Industry in ensuring that their water supply remained continuous by delivering a Danfoss Variable Speed Drive (VSD or VFD). Despite the hard lockdown, our technicians served in installing our client’s VFD, together with their water supply.

Continuous Presence in Projects

And even in the middle of the crisis, we were able to continue upholding our presence and service in the major projects we signed with, namely The Supply and Installation of a Plant-Wide Energy Management System from Schneider Electric.

2021 Recap

As we enter 2022, we are grateful to look back at the previous year, as we have had numerous opportunities in providing and growing our solutions with our clients. And to celebrate our growth and success, we look back at the following milestones and highlights of 2021:

The First Danfoss Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drive in the Philippines

One of our biggest milestones this 2021 is delivering the first-ever Danfoss Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drive (MV VFD) in the Philippines.

This MV VFD replaces a conventional softstarter and will make a 660 KW coal mill fan run more efficiently. This has the potential to reduce energy consumption by as much as 1.57 Megawatt-hours resulting in a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 1100 Metric Tons per year. Apart from its supply, testing, and commissioning, part of our commitment to our client is its further care and maintenance.

Commitment to Service

In our pursuit of providing stable, reliable, and efficient solutions, we have secured a Service-Level Agreement with one of our key clients in the Cement Industry, in which we have committed to providing support over their Plant-Wide Energy Management Systems located in 6 different plants nationwide.

In this Energy Management System, our team has installed over 600 units of Schneider Electric Power Meters connected to a Power Monitoring Expert Software, which helps our client monitor the energy consumption of all equipment in their plants, which is connected to the technical data management system for their process monitoring.

Continuous Service in Our Energy Management Turn-Key Projects

In the middle of the pandemic, we were still able to provide our service in the Supply and Installation of Automated Meter Reading Systems for our clients in the Commercial Industry. This project allows our clients to ensure that they can properly monitor the energy consumption within their buildings.

Alongside this, we continued to provide our technical support in previously completed projects with our client. In 2022, we will be deploying our team to Bacolod for another project.

Hopes for a Brighter and Greener Future

As we enter 2022, we are gearing towards continuous growth by improving ourselves and the services we provide. A part of our efforts will also include that the members of our teams will receive the necessary support and opportunities for growth so we can continue to serve you to the best of our abilities.

We are grateful for the opportunities we received in 2020 and 2021. This 2022, we’re ready for more.
