Reducing Energy Consumption by Controlling Airflow | VACON 100 Industrial

Last week, our team completed the delivery and installation of a 420HP VACON 100 Industrial Variable Frequency Drive for our client in the packaging industry. This is the 4th high-powered VFD we delivered to this client, since 2019.

Our scope of works includes the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of the VACON 100 Industrial Variable Frequency Drive Enclosed in a NEMA 3R Enclosure, the necessary mains and motor power cabling, and other auxiliary components (Power Meters, exhaust fans, etc.).

After energization, our team was able to verify that the voltage, current, rpm, and frequency are correct and that the VFD was in good running condition.

Energy efficiency by managing flow

The VACON® 100 INDUSTRIAL is full of features and dedicated to a wide range of constant power/torque applications. Its easy-to-use and robust motor controls improve the reliability and efficiency of all AC motor types, including induction, permanent magnet, and synchronous reluctance motors.

We help our clients reduce their carbon footprint by taking advantage of the sustainable smart technologies of drives.

Shorthand calculations show that the 4 - 315kw/420hp rated VFDs will help reduce energy consumption by at least 4200 MWh of energy annually which is equivalent to a reduction of 824 metric tons of CO2 emissions

By effectively controlling airflow to match their process requirements, these high-powered VFDs help our clients in significantly reducing their energy consumption by more than 50%.
